Contact support
Email us with a short description of the issue, your device model, iOS version, and Bivio app version when available.
You can also write to us from inside the app: You → Send feedback.
Before contacting us
A few things that resolve most problems:
- make sure Bivio is updated to the latest version available in the App Store;
- check your internet connection if sign-in or syncing is failing;
- close and reopen the app if a screen is stuck or will not load;
- restart your device if the problem persists after reopening the app;
- include the exact wording of any error message in your email.
Account access and recovery
Bivio has two separate things that people sometimes confuse, and they are recovered in different ways.
Your login account. If you forget your password, you can request a reset from the app; the reset link returns you to Bivio to set a new password. If you signed in with Apple, you manage that sign-in through your Apple Account. A password reset never changes your Recovery Key or your encrypted records.
Your Recovery Key. The content of your records is sealed with a key that exists in usable form only on your device, and that key is locked with your Recovery Key. This means we cannot see your decision content, cannot decrypt sealed records, and cannot recover or recreate a lost Recovery Key. If you lose access to the device holding your key and you no longer have your Recovery Key, the sealed content cannot be opened again. Keep your Recovery Key somewhere safe, and never send it to us.
If you are locked out and unsure which of the two applies, email us and describe what you are seeing. We can help with account access.
Delete your Bivio account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app:
- Open Bivio and sign in.
- Go to You.
- Open Account.
- Select Delete account.
- Read the consequences and confirm. You may be asked to reauthenticate so that a deletion cannot happen accidentally or without you.
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. When you confirm, your decision records, reviews, context data, profile, feedback rows, and stored key material are deleted from our production database, and your authentication account is deleted. On your device, the app removes your local keys, your Recovery Key copy, cached data, drafts, scheduled reminders, and the analytics identifier. Because the record content is sealed with keys destroyed in this process, it cannot be reconstructed afterwards — there is no undo, and no temporary deactivation standing in for deletion.
Copies held in our provider’s routine encrypted backups age out on that provider’s rotation schedule. We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it.
Before you confirm, keep anything you want to hold on to. Deleting your account does not remove an email address you separately submitted to the release-updates form on this website, because that address is deliberately not connected to Bivio accounts — to remove it, unsubscribe from the message or ask us and we will delete it.
If you cannot access your account or the in-app deletion option, contact us at hello@getbivio.app and we will help you complete the deletion.
Subscriptions and billing
Bivio is currently free to use during its beta. There is no paid plan to cancel unless you have purchased one through the App Store.
If you do hold a Bivio subscription bought through the App Store, it is billed and managed by Apple through your Apple Account — not by us. Two consequences worth knowing:
- Deleting your Bivio account does not cancel an App Store subscription. They are separate operations; do both if that is what you intend.
- Cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple. We do not control Apple’s billing or refund decisions.
